Today Goose is in yellow and M2 has Cadel while the Electric Cowboy drives Prescilla
Then it was a little ride downhill into Virginia city for breakfast.
Followed by, you guessed it, a climb to Geiger pass.
Then a fantastic downhill to the outskirts of Reno. Nice new road surface and fast curves. Being Sunday morning there were many other riders working off the week's weight gain.
After a little navigation problem we found ourselves on the right way to Truckee. Thanks to Jason a local who rode with the bunch to set them on the right road up to Mt Rose.
Then it was climbing in earnest in the sun and the hottest temperature so far
Mt Rose summit at 8900 foot.
The downhill brought us back to Lake Tahoe where we managed (Perry talked his way in) to have lunch beside the lake at the 'country club'
The lake was very blue today and busy with holiday makers
Then yet another climb out of the northern end of the lake towards Truckee
On the other side of the hill we encountered our first forest fire so far. Outside in Truckee there is the smell of smoke. Hope that clears tomorrow as we spend a bit of time in the forest tomorrow.
Here we are in this arty pic almost at Truckee.
The hills and the Nevada rules were too much for goose while Rocket took full advantage to reclaim yellow. Meanwhile the Grand Duke is hampered in the downhills and has consolidated his hold on Cadel.
